Matthew’s break into the local music scene was playing keyboards and singing with 60 DN. Founded by Raun Alosi and local band members, 60 Degrees North played regularly at large outdoor venues and local bars, and released an all-original album in April 2008. They then went on to open at the Fiesta Bowl for Styx, the Rock and Roll Marathon for Smash Mouth, and the following year for the Doobie Brothers. Featuring the talents of Scott Landucci, Dave Wolter, Monty Siren, Tom Kavanagh, Jason Cartmell, and the late and great Steven Jurich. 60DN performed from March 2007 until July 2012.
